Nagaon University is a state university in Assam that evolved from the historic Nowgong College, established in 1944. The college received Autonomous Status in 2020, and through The Nagaon University Act, 2023, enacted by the Government of Assam, it was upgraded into a full-fledged university. Today, Nagaon University continues its long academic legacy with a strong commitment to quality education and research.
