Scholarship and Financial Assistance for students of Nagaon University

Nagaon University is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder students from pursuing higher education. To support students from economically weaker and disadvantaged backgrounds, the University provides financial assistance through the Students’ Benevolent Fund (SBF), administered by the Office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare.

Under this scheme, eligible Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students of Nagaon University can apply for financial support during each academic session. The assistance is designed to help students facing genuine financial hardship, including those from low-income families, single-parent or orphan backgrounds, differently-abled students, and those affected by sudden financial crises.

The Students’ Benevolent Fund offers support in areas such as hostel and mess subsidy, books and study materials, internet/data support, transport allowance, tuition fee assistance, and emergency medical aid. Special provisions are also made for medical and other unforeseen emergencies, as decided by the Students’ Benevolent Fund Committee.

Applications are invited through prescribed formats circulated by the respective academic departments, and selection is made based on eligibility criteria including family income, academic performance, and financial need. Through this initiative, Nagaon University strives to promote equity, inclusiveness, and student welfare, ensuring a supportive academic environment for all learners.
