Area of Research : My research spans several distinct areas within philosophy and contemplative studies, with a special interest in cross-cultural approaches to knowledge, mind, and moral self-understanding as reflected in both ancient and modern traditions, Western and Indian. Research Interests: • Epistemology and Metaphysics— the problem of universals in Indian and Western thought (realism, nominalism, conceptualism) • Buddhist Philosophy— particularly Northeast Buddhism, including Mahayana, Theravada, Tai, and Mann traditions; Buddhist material culture; and traditional health-seeking practices • Yoga Philosophy and Psychology • Fearism and Mind Studies • Transhumanism and Posthuman Thought
