The Chemistry Department of Nagaon University, formerly a department of Nowgong College, Assam, established in 1953, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs in Chemistry. Nowgong College was upgraded to Nagaon University in 2023, and the department presently functions as a constituent department of Nagaon University. With five permanent faculty members, the department provides a strong foundation in Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, alongside practical training in well-equipped laboratories.
