Established in 2026, the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagaon University is committed to advancing excellence in pharmaceutical education, research, innovation and professional development. The Department envisions creating a vibrant academic environment that nurtures competent, ethical and socially responsible pharmacy professionals equipped to contribute to the evolving healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Department offers B.Pharm. and D.Pharm. programmes, with an emphasis on contemporary knowledge, experiential learning, practical competence and professional skills. The academic framework encourages critical thinking, scientific inquiry, problem-solving and lifelong learning, enabling students to connect fundamental concepts with real-world pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.

The Department is led by the Dr. Bhargab Jyoti Sahariah, Head of the Department, whose academic leadership provides strategic direction for teaching, research, student development and institutional growth. A team of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members forms the academic foundation of the Department, with expertise in the field of pharmaceuticals.
