The Department of History, established on 7th August 1944, offers courses at both UG and PG levels, with an updated library and a museum. It also organizes specialized seminars, webinars, and lectures. According to NEP, students are allowed to enrol in courses offered by the department as well as courses in other departments. Faculty members actively guide research projects and have contributed academically through publishing, UGC sponsored projects, and involvement on editorial boards.
